Best friend, I am sure all of us will have at least one. Certain people will have like 5 to 6 best friends, some even more. Well I guess it depends, how you would take it. I would like to share a story, how I met with my very best friend.

We were in the same school, in fact in the same house. I didn’t really know her at first, since we were not in the same dorm and class in Form 1. Oh ya, we were in the same Maths class though. You know, that time we were tested and separated in set classes according to our marks in Maths. We were deskmates back then. I got to know her better and I had this kind of feeling that she would be my best buddy one day, somehow.

Well, we were dormmates and bedmates in the sophomore year. I guess that was the time where we started to know each other even better, what each of us liked the most, shared some of the stories about our families and friends, and so many things that we talked over and over again. We were classmates too, and in Form 3, we were deskmates, yah we had like 5 deskmates at that time, the so-called back-benchers (nadiah, balqis, een, zaza & nikymalin) =) She taught me whenever I couldn’t catch what the teachers taught in class hehe my mind was always away during the class. She is such a brilliant student, among the top students in our batch I would say, and until now she is the one that I always admire in every aspect.

We did fight over things that when we thought of it, we would laugh. How childish were we at that time. Well, best friends do fight too! Hehe anyway, years went by so fast and we finished our secondary school. Like I said, she was among the top students in school and she was offered to further her studies in medicine. She went to do her A-level in Lembah Beringin and me, continued my matriculation in KMPK.

She went to Southampton in 2005, and that was where we parted really far. But I guess long distance wouldn’t be a problem as she always called me up and we had a nice chit chatting. Somewhere in April or May the next year, she called me up and told me that she was getting married. I was stunned, speechless. OMG, my very best friend is going to get married!! I remembered back in college, we always had a thought that who will be the first in our batch to get married, and yet it was my really best friend. Tell you what, I was the happiest human being on earth at that time I almost cried to hear that. Everything was going smooth, as I went for her engagement and wedding. My goodness, she was sooo damn pretty, like always. She and her husband, Mus is a very lovely couple (in malay they called ‘macam pinang dibelah dua’, cewah haha).

I am so grateful that our paths cross. She is the one that would never fail to understand me. She will be there whenever I need her. She will lend her shoulder and let me cry on her. She is the one that I would admire; her strength, her confidence, her gorgeousness. She always knows what she wants in her life. She has a very big influence in my life, she really is. Well dear, I just want you to know that I really appreciate you in my entire life, and no one would ever take your place in my heart. Millions of thanks to you za, really miss you a lot!!
